Has anyone yet done this.

I did a search and nothing.

Beside finding the tranny and getting the correct flywheel (rx8/TII) and counterweight (s5 for my car)

what other things are going to get in the way. I think the rx8 uses a pull time clutch like the FD correct?

Anyone have any idea or know who has done this yet?

Apparently it is gi-normous so fitting it would suck.

Is it any stronger? More gears?

not yet... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/index.php?...hl=transmission

basically the rx8 uses a t2 clutch, and drive shaft, although the rx8 trans might be enough longer that the stock turbo shaft needs to be shortened.

big fab is in the transmount, and the rx8 shifter is further forward. also theres no speedo drive on the trans, nor is there a spot for it on the output shaft.

It would be nice to have a 6th gear on the NA FC to keep it in the perky powerband.

keep in mind the 6th gear is on the 6 speed is SHORTER than the 5 speed, so putting the 6 speed in the rpms on the freeway GO UP

Thanks guys

Sounds like too much trouble to make work.

I know they are weaker but much better than the S5.

I guess i'm getting a TII tranny instead. Just wanted the 6 speed fun.

Anyone selling the whole TII drivetrain, tranny, driveshaft, diff, halfsharfts?

Yeah, according to Adam (mazdaspeed7) the S4 and S5 N/A trannies are strong, but they hate higher rpm shifts all the time. It makes sense, because alot of RX-7 owners redline every gear everyday.

Woohooo, https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

My friend is hooking me up with his parts. Turbo Tranny, starter, driveshaft and diff.

All I need is the half shafts to finish.
