Well, I'm back, my computer decided to take an unplanned vacation, but
it's back now...Started work on rehabbing my poor 7, filling in the hole where the hatch lock was, taking out the 3rd brake light and fillin it in, and soon gonna replace doors and front driver fender and plastic nose piece.. got a ? while i am typin tho, there is a little aluminum bar right underneath and in front of the the retractable lights, what's it's purpose? when i hit that deer it bent the left one in enough that it prevents the light from closing, and i really just want to take it out, but i dunno if it needs to be there or has a purpose...anyone know? it seems to be bolted to the frame on the front (by where the license plate is) and the sides (where the fenders meet the front end)..any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanx!!!! you could probably take it out, if you hit the car again it
may just crumple a bit more without it |
I figure it's for "safety" purposes :P but from what i understand
no matter what you hit anything going over 60 you might as well have nothing in front of you...i remember reading in a post a while ago, someone recommended that someone else take out the front crash bumper cuz it was only put there because of some law, and it wouldn't protect anything in a collision anyway..well it's running again ( i ended up getting a brand new alternator and it was a bad battery :P) and running pretty damn good, i need to change the oil and get insurance then she'll be on the road again...yay for me.. :P Sean |
