I'm shaving the side moldings. They were coming off and seemed a little more expensive to replace them than to just fill 'em in. Getting racing seats, steeringwheel, and i'm gonna make a new dash. all this for lighter weight purposes. Of course, new rims, wider tires, swaybar, springs, struts, and finally a body kit. I don't know how long this is going to take, hopefully done by the end of January. i have to pay off a few parts i bought first, but the cool thing is my shop is going to sponsor me :bigok:



Here some pics of how it looks now...i'm trying to decide what color i should paint it, it's between orange, light blue, and black (just my favorite color). any other suggestions?

If you want to make it light why put a body kit on it that will probably end up weighing more than the stock parts? oh btw i wouldnt fill in the spots where the side mouldings were.

Be careful with the body kit and interior.... you cannot have side skirts in CSP. You might want to go for Prepared and just gut the whole thing.

yea, a body kit is pointless for competition umnless your road racing where the aerodynamics might help my .02

I wouldnt bother filling in where the moldings were, that will probably weigh more then when the moldings were on considering the molding weigh next to nothing.

You can go nuts and drill with a hole saw in the door panels and other areas that might not need so much metal.

get rid of as much of the plastic crap as the rules let you. the window washer tank is like 30lbs by itself

who thats a project right there. i wish i had that amount of free time. im not flaming, im just jealous
