Try this place out for an idea

Forget Tirerack for wheel sizes. That site won't help much. You want 17's? 17x8 offset +35 in the front and 17x9 ofset +35 in the rear is about as wide as you can go. Some have gone wider, but it's really f'n close. 225/45 or some 235/45 in the front, 255/40 or even some 265/40 in the rear will work. This is assuming you have other than the stock suspension. I've heard it can get in the way. I have 16x8 offset +30 all around (too far out in the front unless you can change it's angle and limit the body roll) and they worked with the stock suspension in place while it was there. BTW, different tire models are different actual widths. Check the manufacturers specs first. Tirerack is good for that info.

i was giving him the site so he can see some rims that might look good on his car. then he can go out and find something familar :bigthumg: BTW i'm grumpy cause my daughter threw up all over the bed thats y im awake at 2:21AM

Jerk_Racer 12-06-2002 04:43 AM

No worries. I just said that about that site because it let me down when I was thinking of getting some wheels. I knew what could go on a FC, but didn't know what offsets were good to go. Tirerack doesn't even get close to what can go on there.

hey really appreciate the feedback..

i have stock suspension. what kinda upgrades should i look into before looking into those wheels jerk racer suggested?

I would go out and buy a issue of Turbo Magazine, the amount of rim ads in there is mind boggling. Compeate 17" rim/tire packages for like $799, I know they might be heavy blah blah, but if someone doesnt have alot of money to spend its a good deal.

Any import magazine for that matter, just dont get a Honda one, lol

foopy 12-06-2002 06:00 PM

thanks, but i was looking more for performance. i know i can just go for flashy looks and wut not, but i rather get good wheels that are light and solid.

any brands out their that you guys highly rec?

pengaru 12-06-2002 06:48 PM

SSR and BBS have some pretty light wheels.
