I need to replace my motor and tranny mounts, and was going to use the competition ones from mazda motorsports (plus they're the least expensive, non-solid mount). On their site, the description says this for the tranny mounts:
Notes: 40% stiffer rubber than stock. These are the square mounts that go between the transmission and the y-shaped bracket that goes into the rubber bushing of the transmission crossmember. The bushin in the crossmember is not available separately, and would need to be purchased with the crossmember. |
it depends on how old the one you have now is and if its been covered in oil/dirt, etc. Just look under there and youll see it. its right on the bottom middle of the crossmember, easier to see than the square ones.

Ok, I'll check it out. I've already ordered the motor mounts and the 2 square tranny mounts, when I take it all apart I'll inspect it.

when i did mine they all fell into a bunch of different pieces

replace the bushing on the centere of the cross member. Mazda will tell you you cant and that it is one peice. They are wrong. You can buy that one bushing seperately I don't remember the part number
|
does anybody know the part number, my crossmember bushing is worn also, and there asking a rediculous price for the entire crossmember. Help is appreciated.

Almost every tranny crossmember I have worked with has a dinked centre bushing. They seem to really take the weather hard.
