well i am still breaking in my motor i am at 600 miles but i noticed that my car is still hard to start when it is hot. the rebuild fixed my overheating issue (blew out one of the coolant passages) but does anyone know if the hard starting can be linked to a sensor issue???? also any ideas would be greatly appreciated as well, thanks
it could be that the fuel injectors are leaking
na i already replaced all four injectors and checked everything fuel related. like i said i am thinking it might be a sensor issue but i dont know what to check...
well im at around 600 miles (maybe more like 550) but have you had to play with the idle adjustment at all to stop it from hunting?
actually my car does idle hunt but only when it goes through warm up. does your idle change as you drive like from light to light???
it would hunt even after warmed up so i had to screw it down a little bit if you got a friend have him start it when its hot then have him keep on the gas and then unscrew it a bit and have him let off or you can unscrew it a bit and try and start it but idle doesnt change for me from light to light

Do a compression check first...
Hot start problems can also be due to fuel boiling. Less of an issue on circulating fuel systems, but I've always wondered with the injectors where they are.
Does your coolant temp sensor work? |
ya my coolant temp sensor works but i cant do a compression check till i have broken in the motor all the way
the fuel injectors are sandwiched between the uim and the lim and the lim and the block
