Yea so I'm trying to find a Rear Diffuser like the RE-Amemiya one for the fd's, i think they have ones for FCs too but the RE-A one is like $800+ for the fc, so thats a no no, already spent $1200 on the damn bumper.

so are there any diffuser alternatives? or am i stuck without one?

a splitter or a lip? there are universal splitters that mount with those turnbuckle things, which ive been considering getting, and of course the side splitters which go on the sides of the front bumper, and sideskirt splitters.

im thinking about smoothing the entire bottom of my t2, thats why im interested https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

im talkin bout a full function splitter, with intergraded belly pan and break ducks, its hard to explain but it will mount to the frame and be made out of cf with a ck bottom. i have it drawn up , its just goin to take some time to make.

Teknics, $1200 for an original RE or for the Rotary Extreme one?? That sounds cheap for the original.

I went w/ the CF RE rear diffuser...$920 at the door...it's worth it considering I've never seen an authentic one around here..or any authentic RE parts that is unless it's on an FD.

The other option is to make your own, or their may be a universal one that could be trimmed to fit our cars..

i wonder if the FD re amemiya pro diffuser would fit, they look a like on fc and fd

martin: i think the undercarriage is a lot more different tho, we got that hump thing from the spare tire and bla bla bla.

one320b: got some links to some good pics of your rear diffuser? My front bumper (seen in my sig) is the rotary extreme one, after shipping and everything it was like $1250, not bad but ive also put about $15k+ into other areas of the car already....and its still pretty far from done...so another $1k on a rear diffuser isnt what im planning on spending money on.

fc3sboy: yea thats the same kind of front splitter ive been looking into, a full bellypan etc...i have ducts for my brakes on my bumper that im going to run ducting directly from to the brakes. I'm also considering the side splitters, under the sideskirts, to smooth out that whole area of the car. I have to get the whole thing together before doing this tho https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png.

oh and, for everyones knowledge, if i can get my n/a registered soon (title problems) im switching jobs, working for the newark port authority and will effectively triple my income...aka i would definitely buy the real RE rear diffuser, and id probably finish the car before january.

The way its looking right now tho ill probably finish the car with what i have, drive it next summer, then next winter take it down and do coil-overs, interior, and possibly that diffuser, and probably a nice wheel change too. then the car will be finished completely https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png, if i do all that at once itll just take too long to finish...properly. i could ghetto hack it together but i dont want to do that.

I'm not up to speed on body kits - when you say diffuser do you actually mean a real diffuser with the whole flat undercarriage and airflow, or is it a rear bumper that just looks like it?

na, im into function over form, im speaking the real deal diffuser, smoothed undercarriage etc.

Want to get one to use in conjunction with a real front splitter with full bellypan, as well as side splitters udner the side skirts to smooth out the area under the cockpit.

Cool! I can't imagine there being a much easier option than to do it yourself with some aluminium sheet. It sounds kind of tricky because you have to worry about cutting off some of the airflow for the rad and exhaust.
