s4 NA holding revs

What can be done to an N/A s4 to increase the throttle response? right now, after I let off the gas to shift (or for any other reason), it takes a fairly long time for the RPMs to drop. For example, when doing the 3-4 upshift at higher RPMs, I have the car in 4th gear long before the RPMs drop low enough to match the engine speed for this new gear, so I need to wait to smoothly engage the clutch. I know a lighter flywheel will help, but i remember reading something about possibly the thermowax or bac or other intake-mounted system damping the engine response. what could be contributing to this?

I think if you do the TB mod it helps alittle. I could be wrong, but i think there is a little thing on the TB that slows the throttle plates alittle when they are closing and if you remove it along with the extra set of plates everything snaps closed really fast.

yeah, definately a flywheel, it is worth the trouble. I really liked the ACT one on the Rx8, big difference between that and stock. I have driven 7s with lightweight flywheels but not sure what brands they were. Makes for a fun drive though!

racing beat or the one from victoria british which is a fidanza i think. It was the biggest noticable improvement that i've felt on my car. Everything else i've done has helped but not been that noticable.
