The S4 TPS is a narrow range only. The S5 uses both a narrow range and a fullrange. Chances are the narrow range is the problem. If you do a little bit of re-wiring and swap the connectors it should work.

like which is the narrow range the one closest to the TB or the one farther away?

how would i rewire them?

i appreciate any and all help https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

If you move the throttle you should be able to see which one loses contact with the TB linkage first. That's the narrow range. I believe that all of the wires are the same color, at least for TII's.

If it doesn't work I have a S5 TPS we could make a deal for.

ok i got the tps and looked at the wires and the colors all match up. but before i start cutting and soldering is there a way to test it (i.e. with a multi-meter) to find out if it works?

It needs to be connected to the ECU to see if it's within spec.
