Basically what I'm getting at here is are all the holes in the same place. Lol.

More specifically, are the motor mounts, trans mounts, driveline parts, and more importantly differential mounted in the same manner between turbo and na FC's. The reason I'm asking is as some of you may know, I'm in the planning stages of a 13b turbo swap into a '79 MG MIdget. I'm getting a little bit fidgety, and I want to find a cheap fc to take all the parts I need from for a mock up and fitment check.

What I need to know is are all the bolt holes and mounting points the same for the turbo/na motor, trans, do they have the same length driveshaft and halfshafts (not as important) and is the differential housing the same dimensions between the two cars.

I guess what I need to know is if I buy a cheap-o demolished na car, put everything where it needs to go in the MG, tighten down the nuts and all that good stuff, will all the t2 engine and powertrain components drop right in?

Seems like I said the same thing 3 times there, I hope I got my point across

Thanks in advance.

motor mounts are the same, trans mount is basically the same, diff mounts up the same, driveshafts are the same length. the turbo stuff is bigger, driveshaft is larger diameter, diff is bigger

I'm guessing the trans mount is beefier for the turbo... That doesn't make much difference to me, I'm fabricating my own trans and motor mounts. My main concern is that the mounts attach to the same place on the engine/trans. That way, I can mock up the mounts with an n/a engine and have them work for the turbo.

As far as the diff goes, it mounts in the same manner, but its bigger? Is the actual housing bigger, or are the parts inside it just beefier?

all the mount holes/studs for the manual trans cars are all the same

trans is bigger on the turbo, rear end is bigger too

to clarify further the trany and diff are larger in diameter, but do use the same mounting points
