I would look closely at the OMP. Usually the culprit of a limp code from what i see. And might have caused the blue smoke if something went wrong with it before the ECU could see.

you could maybe check it for codes too....

Another possibility.

The full range TPS controls the metering oil pump.

It may still be working, but if it's about worn out, the MOP will be over-oiling the motor.

Easy test - just like the short range TPS.

Clip a meter on the plug and observe the ohms sweep as you work the plunger.

Look for a smooth swing from near zero to 5-6K ohms.

what spark plugs are you using?

sidewinderx7 12-09-2005 10:17 PM

sorry for the late replies, im actually out on the coast right now working. Computers are pretty hard to come by... :(

Anyways, the spark plugs that im using are the ngk's you find at schucks. You can definatly tell that its fuel/oil related. The carbon build up on the plugs is amazing... haha

When I get back home ill for sure fix the temp sensor and I can grab a spare OMP, I'll try both and see how it all works out. Im just really hoping oil isnt leaking through the oil rings or something. :(
