i was thinking, could i get a 1g on the skidpad, without dropping 1grand on the car?

let me know what you think:

eibach springs, .8 inch drop-$230 (already have)

KYB G-2 shock/struts-$265 (hopefully soon)

Front strut bar-$25

Front anti-sway bar-$50

Rear anti-swar bar-$50

Polyurethane bushings-$100

i will soon have 17" centerline rpm wheels with kumho tires and camber kit to go along with the items above.

total price - $720

skidpad - to be determined

watching cars disapeer in your rearview mirror as you wind through turns-priceless

lovely quote

i think you should be able to pass the 1g mark...... get stickier wider tires https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

what kind of sway bars you getting for $50?

FCmaniac 03-11-2004 08:26 PM

The tires are of course the most important thing. I don't think you'd pull 1g with those parts unless you had DOT race tires like V700's but maybe.

If you want damn sticky street tires, try Falken Azenis.

falken azenis sports own all, I had them on my vert, they were sticky enough to scare you. The sports are the ones with the huge tread patches, not the directional looking ones that they use to drift.

Yeah, I'm using those for autocross now, they are great tires.. stickiest street tire I've ever used

venomrx7 03-11-2004 09:14 PM

out of all the tires I tried, those held the best, and I tried some nice ones

and the price is great. my 215/50/15's were 80 bucks each, and I had them on the stock vert bbs rims.

the sway bars are all over the internet for right around $50, you just have to watch what you buy. how much are some Falken Azenis size 205-40-17? where can you buy them at? im going to autocross my 7 this year and was looking for some good tires.

Ditto. Tire compounds, pavement smoothness and temperature make a bid difference difference in skidpad numbers.
