or the clutch disc is misaligned...

readjust it and use the clutch alignment tool, Put some lube inside the bering and have a friend help you manipulate the tranny into place. I personally wouldn't do this kind of work without someone else being there just from a safety stand point.

I just did my clutch Monday and I put it in place myself. What a bitch!!! The first time I pulled it off (last Thursday), my brother helped me put it back on, took about 5 minutes. With just me, about 30 minutes. It is always easier with someone else. I had him hold the bell up and I pushed the rear. It slid right in. I didn't put a new pilot bearing in though. dremel or grease trick or water trick... I use the dremel trick because my pilot bearing had gone so only the exterior of the brearing were there.. but the water trick or the grease one work well !

lol one of the other mechanics at our shop has this problem all the time.... we rebuild auto trannys tho, the dumb **** never puts the torque converter in all the way... luckily he just tears apart the cars, he doesnt do any rebuilding of any kind
