Last weekend I put the RB header on my car with a high flow cat. My problem comes in that I want the aux. ports to open, but they cant because of no back pressure to them. I have heard about hooking them up to the air pump, but I dont want to do that, wiring them open, dont want to do that either. So, do I just drill into the new cat to put a bung in there, or a hole in the intermediate pipe between the header and the cat, or is there another place to do it as well? I def. want them to work though. I am open to any other sugguestions to. Thanks.

I run the RB header to a bonez cat to a apexi N1 and my 6 ports work , this is on a S4

Clean your 6 port actuators and sleeves. That should solve your problem.

So you guys are saying cut a hole in the cat and weld in a bung like to stock setup to run them?

If you're saying you no longer have that backpressure pipe hooked up, then you need to either put in a different cat that has that pipe in it or like you said have someone weld a tube in but I've never seen that done. You can't just weld a bung in, they need to put in a tube almost like a mini u bend pipe to redirect the exhaust gas into that pipe.

If your 6 ports are clean, You will have plenty of backpressure with that setup to open them. Ime to break out the carb cleaner and wrenches.

Ok, so the back pressure pipe is a tube that faces toward the engine? It so, this is probably not that hard seeing that my brother can weld. But other than the pipe is there anything else that needs to be done? Thanks.
