hey whats up guys. I finished Gutting my car completly out, now im getting started on rewiring the things I want working (headlights, tail lights, Sunroof and thats about it). Anyways my question was I want to hook up my starter to a button so I just need to flip the switch to on and push the button for my car to start. Im not good with the electrical at all and trying to do as much work myself as possible. Anyone know how I can do this? Would there happen to be a write up on this or anything? Also can I rewire my Intank fuel pump on a switch? or do I need an electrical fuel pump to do this? (I have an Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump that im waiting on) but right now I have a walbro intank pump in. Any help guys? Thanks

i had an ingine push button start in my fc for a short time. im thinkin about putting it back in. i had it mounted whre the cig lighter is supost to go but when i was using the wide band i needed a power sorce so i took it out. the things you will need are a healthy 5 post relay some very heavy guage wire and a switch to start the car. or you could just buy the kit and follow the directions. its very easy to put in.

If you use a heavy duty switch, you wont need a relay. I had a 40 amp push button and it worked great. Run a positive to one terminal on the switch and the other run to the spade connector on the back of the starter. If you decide to do a relay, either pin 85 or 86 is your ground, the other is the output from the button (you still need to run a positive to one terminal of the button), pin 30 is your supply power and 87 would go to the spade connector on the starter.

Your question about your fuel pump is confusing. I guess you are asking if you need an electric fuel pump controller I guess? You dont unless you are doing some serious racing. To run a switch, you will need to run a relay with your pump. Same instructions as the push button, except now you need to figure out which wire on your tank is the positive to the pump. I do not remember which one. I think its a blue wire, but it has been a while.
