i was under the hood of my 87 TII the other day tuning it up, tightening the alternator belt, filling fluids etc. After that I went to bed and when i got up and went to drive the car to work i had a problem. The car starts and runs fine at idle, but when you put the gas to the floor it starts to go crazy. At about 4,000 rpms the car starts to act like is starving for everything, by bucking, backfireing and will not go any higher in rpms. It's wiered! I had Chris Ott from Rotary Preformance on the phone with me and he heard the noise it was making. He said he had not seen one do this. He thinks it could be a computer could be on the fritz. But the car was working great before i adjusted the alternator and was looking around the engine bay. Please if any one knows about this i could sure use the help. Thanks

Eric

If it has problems at 3800 it could be a ground. Your secondary fuel injectors aren't coming online. (yes, Mike, their modem may be broken)

fuel injectors!

its not the injectors

its the ground that goes to the plugs for the injectors...what ed described

check all your grounds and look for loose connections

Definitely check the grounds. You might also wanna check the secondary injector plugs, maybe clean them off make sure that theyre clean err the metal connector part on the plugs. Another thing to check would be all your grounds, maybe clean up those electric connectors too.

seriously what the hell is your problem.....

every god damn time i post you are there to try and yell at me

i know more about the cars then you, im sorry that i help people on the boards and, if you are wrong, correct other peoples answers

in this case you are wrong..so i corrected it...i was not mean or sarcastic or anything of the sort... he asked what the problem is and you answered FUEL INJECTORS....that could be anything, unplugged, missing, injecting water, farting, playing basketball

if you want to start adding advice to the forum and being smart and knowledgable maybe you might want to think about offering advice that makes sense rather than 2 word answers that dont help for anything....

and just so you know i had my rx7 6 months before kevin and he doesnt teach me nor do anyone else

so how about you just "shh"

Sounds like it's your injectors but, out of curiousity, does it happen if you gingerly approach the higher rpm's? Meaning, not flooring it but letting them go up?

@ The arguers -> Don't be dumb, nothing will be solved if you both start going at it. Get it done with PM's if there's a problem.
