Just read this post in the FAQ's section. Is there a similar mismatch on NA manifolds or is this a "Turbo only mod"?I have an '87 n/a with header/exhaust,cold air intake@ K&N cone filter. The A/C , P/S and emissions have been removed. Are the stock injectors sufficient or should I upgrade and what would I use? Will advancing the timing help? If so ,how much? What other" tuning tricks" are there? Thanks loads! BT

the stock injectors are fine. no need to upgrade without major porting or adding boost. be carefull with the timing. your car is basically stock. no need for tuning or timing adjustments.

not sure what you meant with this:

but im gonna guess you mean the upper and lower itake manifolds dont exactly match eachother. if your thinking of getting them honed or ported. looking into using a S5 TII LIM and FD UIM. over 50% more flow for TII's. probly even better on NA's

Sen,thanks for the reply!Yes ,I meant to ask if there is a mismatch between the LIM and the UIM.Would the two other manifolds you mentioned be a direct bolt on? Thanks again, BT

i dont know about those figures for he fd manifold i just did it b/c it looks prettier and i dont think you can put that uim and lim on an n/a.but i beleive there is a write up for puttin a s5 n/a uim on an s4 as for portmatching i also believe you should just port the lim to the block i dont see a reason to port the uim but im sure somone more expierienced will jump in here and let you no what the deal is. also for fuel if porting is done it would be recommended to upgrade the fuel pump and seconday injectors for a safty measure b/c you will be putting more air in to the engine causing leaner conditions making your engine more prone to detonantion and rotaries dont like that. some one please correct me if im wrong
