hey guys, i'm now the proud owner of an '89 rx7. now to fix the clutch problem and figure out why the engine doesnt run right! (prolly needs new seals, bleh)

anyone have any clues as to why the clutch randomly loses pressure (just drops straight to the floor and doesnt come back) ? car ends up stalling out because of it...kind of a pain.

your clutch problems sound like they are hydarlic related. Check your slave cylinder you may need to rebuild it or just get a new one. I bet that is your problem. Does the pressure come back if you pump the clutch?

Clutch hydralics are shot. Have your clutch master and slave cylinder rebuilt, and throw on an SS clutch hose while you are at it.

i figure its either the master of slave cylinder..any easy way to figure out which? forgive my ignorance but what is a SS clutch hose?

I just had the same problem. Replaced Master & Slave Cylinder and an Stainless Steel Clucth Line and it feel great. I used to grind downshifting to first and now it dosent do it any more.

You can replace one or the other of the parts but to get rid of future headaches I replaced every thing. And I bought it from mazdatrix.

BTW ::: There aftermarket driveshaft is made bye Racing Beat ! ! !

& there Master And Slave Cylinder parts are manufactured bye Tokico
