Hey guys, I installed the polyurathane bushings in the A arms but I used regulst lithum grease to lube them up since the stuff they sent (whitelube wasn't enought) Is that ok to use for this?

It should be all you might have to do in a year or two is take them apart and regrease.

The pivot one is very hard to take out.



I replaced the rear ones a few years ago and not the front one because needed a press. I used the supplied grease that time but I notice last weeekend that when I cut the up the alumiun was pitting where is starts to flare, you know what I mean. It wasn't smooth. I lightly sanded and grease it up good.



THis time i had the front one press out and put in the new ones, I loaded up with regular grease. Hope to have a nice handling car soon. I need to do the rear a arms too.

I got the energy suspension complete bushing kit.



I am kinda scared to do them on my own. Exactly what do i need to do them all by myself. I got a guy that will do em for $300. But i rather do it on my own and learn. Any specific hints/tools or tricks that i can use to do them on my own.



How long will it take 2-3 days?

Its a pain in the ass really if you don't have a press and torch. I didn't have either and did the job but it sucked and took me forever. If I had to do it again, I'd pay somebody 300.

I removed the suspension pieces and did what I could on my own. I had a cheapo propane torch that I used to remove them. I installed the pieces I could by hand, and the rest I took to a shop that has a press. I think they charged me around $40 to press in/out a few bushings (front control arms I think were I all needed them to do).

I had my local firestone press them out. I might as well get myself a press from harbor freight.

Just to push 2 bushings they charge $40. Thats half price for the press it self.
