I bought and used them. I didn't get dynoed or anything, but I *thought* I could feel a difference.

That was my thinking, provided they're installed properly.

That is what I have heard the most people dont put them in properly and they end up spinning inside the sleeve doing zero good.

It's impossible for them to spin inside the sleeve. The problem people were having was they would dislodge from the end of the sleeve, and slide back and forth, pieces would break off and get sucked in, stuff got broke. This happened because Pineapple said they were a "press fit", and told people to just shove them in.

When I installed mine, I called and asked (this was before I heard of any problems), they said to scuff up the end of the sleeve, and the bottom of the insert, and use red loctite. I did, and when I removed them many miles later, they were right where I left them. Pineapple now says to dimple the end of the sleeve where it meets the insert, so it can't slide anywhere.

makes sense, I though people were saying they were spinning inside there....

I just got mine in the mail. Yup, supposed to dimple the sleeve, and loctite the insert to the sleeve.
