I'm thinking I need to mount a boost gauge and my A/F meter on my A-pillar. I'm looking at the mounts on Mazdatrix' website, and it says it attaches with double-sided tape. Are these things tacky looking, or do they fit nice?

Good question, I want some too. I have not seen any mounted. But I do know you can get them pretty cheap. I read one post on here about someone doing an install and he had to drill and bolt because the mount didnt line up very well. Good luck with it, but I will not use the sticky tape, it gets hot enough here to melt the sticky.

I;ve got some gauges on my A-pillar, the screws they give you(w/ the autometer gauge pod holder) did not work for me, I had to use zipties, looks fine, the whole setup is tacky anyhow, black plastic just stuck on top of my blue a-pillar. And ofcourse they don't fit just perfect, a little bowed, so don't think its SOOO simple. PITA

Vosko, from whom did you purchase? Did the pod come with screws, or did you "engineer" it? It sounds like the Mazdatrix one just sticks on top of the O.E. trim. I don't much like the sound of that. Sounds ghetto.

cant you use small nuts and bolts with washers instead of screw to hold it

on? or you can use some epoxy behind the pillar to kind

of beef it up before you use screws.

border also makes a kit which goes on top if the dash-gauge array..look really nice and doesnt inferere with outward vision

A-pillar guages are ghetto. I think they are tacky. Now if the pods were a one piece that replaced the whole a-pillar that would be a WHOLE lot better, but no one wants to pay the extra buck for that. Some would.
