Ok! It's like this my horn has been working on and off for about a month.

Then It just stops entirely at first. So I check the connections behind the buttons and they are ok. So then I go to check the fuses which i'm not sure where it is, but I think it is under the drivers side unto the left. So I look at the fuses box cover to see which fuse houses the horn fuse but unfortuantly it not labeled. So then I looked over the horns themselves to see if they are connected. (there right in front of the radiator right?) the horns looked ok I didn't see any rips or anything. I placed a volt meter to see it there is any current coming out off the steering wheel. I got nothing! I want to check to see if any current is coming out of the actual horn fuses but I don't know where it is located. I check the F.A.Qs section on horns but it didn't help so much.

I think the CPU (not ECU) might control that. its a little black box in the drivers side kick panel. It controlls dummy lights, blinkers, clock, and other stupid crap. Sometimes you can resolder them and they work fine.

I just rewired mine, direct wired with a fuse inbetween, i got one of the old round push buttons and put it where the rear windshield washer switch would be if i had one, worked great, good luck..

check the contact on the back of the wheel, not at the buttons. Theres a sprung shaft that rubs against a metal disc on the wheel, kinda like a brush in a electric motor. Maybe it's not making good contact with the wheel.

Bingo, I had 2 FCs where the horn didnt work, it turned out to be

rusty metal behind the horn cover.

Clean that **** up with some scotchbrite and some WD-40 type of deal.

mine does the same thing, i just keep pressing the buttons like mad and then it will finally work. They do get corroded, but im to lazy to take the wheel apart. it happens like once every few months. just do the cleaning and you will be fine.

cheers!

Put the horns on your roof, semi truck style.
