https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png hey guys,

When i helped run the auto repair and the 86's started having a problem with the flooding we checked everything, from sensors, to engine compression. What we found was everything was working Ok but at unknown times the injectors would leak down and flood. So to solve the problem we added a switch that hooked to the fuel pump. (BTW The switch looked just like any ol mazda switch so we could placve it in plain site) We would tell the client to turn the switch to the off position and let it kill the engine before turning off the ign. Leave it off until ready to start. then start it with no problems. Some of the local insurance rep's considered it an anti theift devise and they got premium discounts.

If possible find the problem. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

hey lets all learn and pass around the idea's with out bashing. We are all at different levels of knowledge. my hats off to Viper for bringing up a good question, and trying to think out a solution, before just doing something that he may regret later..

Hahaha.. You started a thread at team because nobody kissed your feet for coming up with an idea half of us already know about? You have to expect the tuning guru's here to flag your idea right off the bat. Now the team recruits are coming over to stroke your ego..

I think Rob said it best..

Don't start stupid drama to begin with, anywhere.

I saw you posting about the 'injustice' at team from Lee's link, you are the one bringing the drama over.

Knock it off, man.

I try to keep all the bulshit at team "Behind the pit wall" there is no reason to bring bulshit everywhere i go. I am mostly at team and decided , hey, seems like a good idea so ill share it.

I dont mind people saying stuff like. im not sure how long that will last, or , this might ruin somthing. But to say stuff like. "you have just taken a perfectly running car and made it not start at all" that is the feedback i dont want to see cause whomever hasnt tried it yet. And to say.... "There is no reason for this" ok there might not be a reason in your car but if someone elseis having a problem they can do this or use a switch. Im not telling everyone to go order the stuff and do it. im just saying if you have flooding problems and you dont know what it is.... you can do this. Or you can use a switch they both work basically the same way.

Please. keep the arguing down to a minimum here. if you want to express something. do it at Team in teh thread I did in the "behind the pit wall section".

Thank you for everyone who has looked at this and hasnt tried to argue https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

That was ted, he seems to have a knack for doing stuff like that and pissing people off.

yea what's up

j200pruf 04-03-2004 12:45 PM

Lets just say this, if someone is poor and needs some more time to save up for a rebuild, or getting stuff replaced or what have you, then this is a good temp fix. I like the idea of having a switch, turn it off jsut a little bit before you shut off the car to get rid of some fuel pressure, since it seems that rx7's keep a lot of pressure in the lines, and like Colin said it's makes it harder for ppl to steal the car.

A while ago I would not have agreed with Rob on this subject at all. But after getting my rebuild running for a while, I haven't flooded it yet. Even after starting it jsut to move it out of the drive way and turn it off.

OMG...I smell evil forum in here. The guy never made a offensive remark to you at all. In fact, all he is doing is expressing his opinion. If you don't agree with than fine. Don't start attacking people just cause they are new. Jackass!

BTW, Viper I think you make a very good point.

why dont you go read his post over at FC3s before you comment?

All I said was there was no need for it if the car is running right, and he

goes crying that we are evil and how he isnt going to post his

super ideas anywhere anymore.

I would rather my car flood and me know there is a problem then

let the auto flood thing work its magic.

If it floods you can reach under the dash and unplug the

pump in like 5 seconds. If you let the car flood so badly you need

to MMo or ATF it then you probably shouldnt own the car to begin with.

Just because someone expresses a different view doesnt make the

forum evil and it doesnt cause "drama"
