Why the switch Rob? The new lip in better condition?

jwteknix 09-14-2008 11:52 AM

sexy time

Rob x-7 09-14-2008 12:34 PM

im not crazy about the other lip, besides it belongs on the other car.

this winter I have to get around to putting on all my S5 factory side skirts and moldings on as well.

Rob x-7 10-11-2008 05:44 PM

mounted my new Corksport lip today and gave the car a cleaning, was not cleaned since July.

I still have to take the bumper back off and paint it, it came off my other FC.

Sweet lawd my comp crashed not being able to handle the shiny for more than a minute!

amp 10-12-2008 06:33 AM

you need to close that lip-undertray gap...

Rob x-7 10-12-2008 12:32 PM

on the way to Rotorjam I had the undertray wedged under the front lip, on the highway I was watching the temperature climb steadily so I pulled over and put it back the way it is and the temp went back to normal.

I dont know if it was air pocket in the coolant ( I was working on the cooling system a few days before ) and by coincence it went away, or if it was the tray wedged down low?

I just got back from putting 60 miles or so on the car and on the highway my electric fan shuts off and the car runs cool.

So I dont know what to do with the undertray?

Wow! I thought my paint was in good condition until I've seen yours. The lip looks nice. Just too bad there's a bigger gap underneath the front mount now.

defprun 10-20-2008 07:37 PM

Gap? Fill it up with an oil cooler.

shame that the front mount with the original bumper blocked the air from actually going into the undertray.

If I can figure out some kind of mesh that does not look like **** to fill the opening with I will install it.

Slipknot Rob 10-21-2008 08:14 PM

If you could get something to connect the front lip with the undertray just so that you couldn't see the road through the gap it should look better. Or is that what you were talking about with the overheating issue?

I have not had my under tray on in a couple of years, never had a problem with it running hot still has the stock clutch fan with an aluminum radiator.... zero issues, it actually runs colder than what it should

Rob x-7 10-23-2008 09:33 AM

Are you running a FMIC and AC as well? Is the radiator thicker then stock?
