Is it a must have? When i had my engine replaced they put a thermostate housing that didnt have the nipple for the overflow tank. I've been driving the car for about 2 weeks now without problem.





Do i have to have an overflow tank? What's the use. I mean. i've driven in heavy traffic and at 120 Mph without overheating problems. Thanks for the input.

Keeps your coolant oring intact. TOO much pressure buildup because coolant tends to grow, it has to go some where. You'll have major trouble, orings will collapse and/or stock plastic radiator will explode.



Even thought, rasing the pressure raises your boiling point. is not good to have too much pressure.

humm.. so i guess i need to get ahold of that mechanic and have him put the nipple and overflor tank back on huh.

Gotta get that base with the nipple and tank.
