So, why did you rule out turboing the thing? For the $15K you plan on spending you could have one fast turbo.

Seppuku 02-02-2003 11:18 PM

will i need fuel upgrades with those mods?

oh and i need to add guages to the list too.

Well with so many people doing the turbo swaps lately and the reliability issues of the turbo i decided just to build up a reliable/fast na. And i decided id rather just buy a turboII or fd so i have the best of both worlds. :smirk:

j9fd3s 02-02-2003 11:52 PM

that sounds good :bigthumg: , you dont need anything more than an s afc for fuel if you stay na, unless the judge gets his hands on it https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Seppuku 02-02-2003 11:55 PM

Well unless judge comes down here that won't happen so ill just add an s afc to the list.

I heard the Brembo rotors warp easily, keep the pads, just try "endless" rotors!

Seppuku 02-03-2003 12:03 AM

ok thanks for the advice

1Revvin7 02-03-2003 08:43 AM

I don't like it. I think you're gonna regret it,all that money spent on performance and it will still be slow. If you gonna blow that kinda money, and keep it n/a might as make it handle really well.

either sell that vert, or turbo it, reliability isnt a issue if you keep it

basically stock, A TII drivetrain with a exaust, slight fuel upgrade, and you should be about 225 horsepower and it will run for a long time.

Plus I dont know where you will find a bank to loan you $15,000 to mod

your car, unless you have someone who is going to put up thier house as collatoral for a personal loan.

Seppuku 02-03-2003 05:09 PM

well i wasnt going to get a 15000 loan i was going to come up with as much as i could. I would probably put off the body work for a while.

I see, my advice would be to find another car to drive when you go

ahead with this project so you can do it right and not have to worry

if you can drive it to work the next day.
