And just to clear this up before people start adding replies, I am not doing this to sound "Rice". I hear that you get better throttle response. I tried doing this my just disconecting the end of the BOV where it enters the intake and plugging the intake off. It worked to some effect but I couldnt let it go below 1,200 RPM or it would stall. Help please, any feedback is good.

you can not have an open vented stock bov. The car will die everytime you stop. That bov is not made for open air venting.

Well.... You can. But you have to put a 1 way air valve on the end of the BOV (or the end of the hose off of the BOV)



But either way, the car will still want to stall with the AFM type metering system. Because it is dumping metered air out of the intake, whichs would make it then run pig rich, and stall....





Anyways, you can get a nice regular BOV for like $150-250 dollars. And it would sound better, work better, hold more boost.... So on.

aftermarket BOV does the same thing. It just makes a louder sound.

a bov that vents to the atmosphere will not work well with the stock ecu, you can put a aftermarket bov on it but you will probably want to recirculate it back into the pre-turbo but post-afm intake path.



I've seen people use aftermarket bov's that vent to the atmosphere on t2's with stock ecu successfully but it's not ideal.

i have that... it makes my car want to pop like popcorn at light throttle applications... i have no idea why. Oh well.

What are you people talking about? Mine never did anything like that with the greddy on there. It ran smooth as could be. Never had a problem.
