FCmaniac 08-04-2003 07:51 AM

I'm more worried about rearending them.. it seems lately that most of the cars in front of me being driven by white haired people now take turns at 0.8 miles per hour as opposed to the previous 1.6 miles per hour. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

this is very true

FCmaniac 08-04-2003 08:00 AM

and they put their turn signals on 5 blocks in advance so you never REALLY know when they are turning.. white hair = a 5 car length cushion now. What I want to do is mount a push bar on the front of my car and just start ramming the **** out of them. Ok, I'm done.

UniqueTII 08-04-2003 01:12 PM

Damn, that sucks. I still need to get an estimate on my car.

Drifter101 08-04-2003 11:58 PM

That sucks, if i were you id sue. and not only that tell them that you will only stop the lawsuit upon notification that she passes a thorough old age driving test. That and of course get your car fixed no matter what

rxchx7 08-05-2003 12:16 PM

old people should be tested ever year after they hit 55 or 60 and at 70 they shouldn't be behind the wheel for all of our safety

BigTurbo74 08-05-2003 12:32 PM

actually at 93 my great grandma was very healthy with 20/20 vision, the ass load of driving experience and imo was a very very good driver.

MazdaEnthused 08-05-2003 12:36 PM

well i'm gonna be a 90 race car driver of some sort myself

Gen2RXSeven 08-05-2003 09:57 PM

I hope they fix it. I know how you feel though, I got rear ended by a old guy back in '98 within the first month of owning my nearly new 95 nissan. about the same situation as you, was at the light, 20 seconds after I was at the red light a old lady plowed into me hard enough for my school books to fly off of the back dash and onto the front floorboards.
