Should this be connected to the intake before or after the throttle on an S4 TII? At WOT it wont matter, but for cruising at part throttle, wouldnt connecting it pre-throttle inject a little more oil (good for lubrication, or too much)? I had it hooked up to the vac nipples on the UIM, but they didnt seem to be getting much vacuum at idle (the little vac nipples sticking out of the UIM, though physically post-throttle, are connected thru the rubber spacer and a tube to the air flow pre-throttle), so i moved it to the nipple on the LIM right between the primary injectors. Which do you think is the better location?

I would stick with hooking it up after the throttle body. You could try to hook up a vacuum source before the throttle body, but i have a hunch it would burn an excessive amount of oil.

If I remember correctly, the factory source for the metering injectors is the large lower vacuum nipple on the back of the UIM.

hmm, the hose that came attached to them was nowhere near big enough to hook up to that, it was about 5/16ths. Then again, I got the engine kinda in pieces with none of the vac lines hooked up, and tons of little bits missing (but it was $400, runs, and had a larger turbo on it, so im not complaining too much)

I got another question, figured i'd jack this thread insted of making one for myself.

I just put my lim on and now need to hook up my spider, while giving it a close inspection i noticed one of the tubes on the spider was cracked in a non useable state. On my engine i have deleated all the vacuume lines i dont need anymore scince i took off smog stuff and everything A/C. Do i need to get a new one or can i just run a tube from each oil valve to my uim? Now that i have all the extra nipples.......

well, you could do that, but the splitter makes sure that they're all seeing the same amount of vac, so that one rotor doesnt get "over-lubricated". I dont see the harm in it, but its something to keep in mind.

the turbo engines hook up to the large nipple in the rear of the intake.

the 3.5mm hoses from the metering jets goesinta a 6mm line to the intake
