Well yesterday I bought my self a trip permit. And I started driving the car aound, but I noticed that my idle oil pressure went from 30psi to 20psi, I am using a mechanical gauge. I realized that the car had been severly flooded while ago so I opend the oil cap and stuck my nose down there. Sure enough it smelled like oil. SO I took drained the oil and you could tell that the oil was very thin, and smelled more like gas than oil.

So I went down to the store and bought a case of Castrol GTX 20w50. I put in 5 quarts along with a new puraltor filter. As soon as a started it up I noticed that the idle pressure was still about 20psi, and I was only getting to about 50psi at 4k. Later on I decided I was going to take it for a real drive (about half an hour one way). But first I had to put a little gas in it. When I started the car back up I was only getting 10-15psi, and I wasn't getting more than 40psi at 4,000rpm.

I am guessing that the front cover oring has partially blown out and is going to need replacing. I already called a local rotary shop and the guy on the phone gave my a very rough guess of 5 hrs work which is $300.

After assembling this engine twice, taking forever to figure out I need to adjust the trans crossmember and spending a **** load of money I thought I was done, but I guess not.
