I changed my oil pressure sender and now I have the new one in...when I drive normal it's around 40-45 psi at 3K or more rpm it's about the same. Before when I had my old one it read about 58-60psi at 3K or more rpm, and around 35-45psi normally driving. This doesn't seem right. Or is it? What could be the problem?

thanks,

Kevin

huh...because in the manual it says it should be higher than that. maybe this pressure sender just isn't giving an accurate reading?

Mine reads around 60 all the time. I dont really worry about it because the car is almost 20 years old and it hasnt had that stuff replaced so I dont really expect it to still be accurate.

When you replaced the sender did you happen to do an oil change with a dif weight of oil? That may cause dif readings than you are used to.
