Finally put the Racing Beat adaptor block in today so my mechanical gauge is working, this thing isnt AS easy as you would think it to be, actually, I should correct myself and say that if you dont have a decent stubby 10mm wrench, I cant see how you COULD get this thing on and off. Luckily for me I had a stubby and a long 10mm GearWrench, god answered prayers when he sent these GearWrenches down to earth! Im pretty sure the old O-rings was the culprit of my oil leak as evident by the mess of oil that had been coming from it, so I killed 2 birds with one stone anyhow.

ya those o-rings cause leaks all the time and need to be replaced.
I added that block a few weeks ago and as soon as I started the car you could see oil dripping out.. so I pulled the block off and noticed the RB o-rings that came with it are thinner then the stock ones. #*&@!. so I picked up 4 new mazda ones that are thicker and installed it again and it was fine. I'm surprised they haven't had problems in the past with their rings... |
If you're worried about future o-ring failures then try putting some silicone on both surfaces. I did that on a car without any o-rings, and it doesn't leak.
