I need to replace the oil pressure regulators in the motor of my daily driver and fix a small oil leak.
Is it possible to pull the oil pan from a FC with out completely removing the engine? I imagine I will need to attach the engine to an engine lift and raise it up as far as I can to get to the front bolts but I am unsure if that will be enough to reach the front oil pan bolts around the engine cradle. Anybody have tips or recomendations for doing this? Thanks. |
Never done it personally, but the FSM makes it look like you dont have to pull the whole engine. Just lift it up some...
Better wait for someone with actual experience though. |
i think you can, you gotta lift the motor, and remove the right side mount, and well you know scraping oily gasket under the car sucks, its gonna be a huge mess.

I did it by placing a small jack with block of wood under the exhaust manifold side. It worked fine but I'd suggest having someone there to hold the oil pan in position when you reinstall the motor mount and its bolts.
