okay, so i'm driving it work, eccstatic that my car is running now, with my CAI, and i look down at my gauges, and the oil pressure is reading zero. i think "CRAP, i dont have time for this" so i keep driving, thinking my engine is still under warrenty, lets hope it makes it to work.
so i check the haynes at work, and it shows the oil-p sensor below the oil filter with a wire coming from it. i check mine, the wire is missing. so, i seem to have knocked it off when i was changing my plugs, wires, and battery cables this past week. anyone know where this wire originates, other than the dash? a closeup picture would be most helpful. also, while you're at it, my new brake MC has the level sensor, but i'm missing the wire that connects to it. know where it comes from? |
if you go to the drivers side harness, it comes from there, its yellow

okay, i found my brake fluid lever sensor wire and plugged it in, but still nothing on the oil-p sensor. i fould a couple of loose wires, but nothing that reaches/plugs into the oil-p sensor. that male plug connection looks wierd, all round and crap. i dont get it.
thanks for the tip, fd3s, but where is that harness/where does it run from? any other wires in the general vicinity would help in describing this thing. i re-wrapped one group of wires after replacing my batter cables, so it could be wrapped up in there...wire burrito style |
the connector looks like a speaker wire connector, a female spade
connector that slides over the oil pressure sender. See if this image comes up, but it doesnt have the red over it. http://www.frozencpu.com/images/prod...ist/ele-29.jpg |
well, i still haven't found it. if someone can take a good closeup of their sensor, i would be most greatful. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683894.gif i'll even return the favor and take a picture of something in my car if you need it...

i found a pic of the connector in the haynes manual, i just dont know where it originates. i re-wrapped some wires in conduit when i changed my battery cables, so it could be in there.
however, a picture will help, an upclose one of where it connects and the group of wires that the sensor comes from. |
