https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif Just wondering what alternatives there are to the stock plastic metering lines. Im lazy, and I don't want to premix. Would any oil-compatible rubber or silicone hose work?? What about steel hardlines?? I know you would not be able to see if the oil is flowing through the lines, but who looks anyways??

Just wondering..

buy mazda OEM lines

they arent just plastic lines, they have banjo bolts built

into them, you cant just put rubber lines on there.

If you are meaning to ghetto rig some hose and some wire ties

I would say thats a terrible idea- get new ones.

Thats only a nice perk. SS is about safety!

honestly- how many guys you hear blowing up newer oil lines?

or brake lines for that matter?

I was just thinking that the plastic ones looked cheap and flimsy. Never had a problem with them, including 329000 miles on my GSL-SE, all original except for injectors, so I guess they work fine. Steel just seems more um.. "professional" looking. And no, I do not want to ghetto rig my car.. atleast no more then Mazda did in the 1st place!

Thanks for your replys!!

I am using RC fuel line that is rated to carry oil, so far it is working pretty good. I need to tear off the intake to make sure they are still working right.
