Ok here is the problem, I have an oil leak that seems to be coming from the bell housing of the trans mission. It is not tranny oil it is engine oil. I replaced the rear main seal to no avail. I know it is coming from somewhere inbetween the tranny and the engine becuase it is hitting the flywheel and it is spraying it up on the hood and the passanger side engine bay. what else between there could be causing an oil leak.

Do you have all of your covers/dust plates on the tranny? if not, check your oil lines everywhere, lol, you'd be amazed at what can get sucked in and then sprayed out...

A torsion bolt seal may be bad and oil may be coming from there. Perhaps your oil pan?

When you replaced the main seal, did you happen to see any run lines on the back of the block?

Other than the main seal and the bolts, I dont think there is anything else back there that could leak oil. You have your oil filter there that can leak, but you should be able to nitice that.

could also be the rear stationary gear o ring

or the oil pan, some of my bolts were not quit tight, and it was leaving spots in my driveway.

Well my RX-7 drips a few drops of oil after you've been driving. It's from my oil pan gasket, and it seeps down the oil pan itself and drips from the oil pan drain nut. I am gonna see if tightening any not-so-tight bolts helps at all. Probably, it's a very faint leak.
