The junk yard seven has got problems. I was changing the spark plugs this weekend and here is the scenario:
T1 was pristine L1 was good too T2 was fairly oily L2 was soaked in oil (gravity I guess) So I am thinking oil control rings in number two naturally. So I drain the oil and it stinks of gas very much badly. In fact I could have put it in my gas tank and driven around, it had so much gas in it. My question is this; will a compression check reveal anything about oil control rings? I cannot take the car to the dealer cause I don’t have a title for it at the moment… So can I use a generic compression test kit? I know how to read the generic shits on a rotary engine to some extent. Like two high spikes followed by a low means and apex seals is thrashed. Blown side seals can also be detected as well. But can oil control rings? |
