it looks pointless. The stock oil filter location on the fc is the best location i've ever seen a filter located. My old 88 MX-6 was a bitch, it was located behind the block next to the exhuast pipe.

You really shouldn't be spilling any oil anyways. Just drain the oil before removing the filter, and at most you should get a drip or 2 while removing the filter.

oil change? I thought it was supposed to burn through 5 quarts in 2000 miles, I just keep adding oil!

I would consider the racing beat dual oil filter relocation kit had I not bought 24 mazda oil filters.
