These things start weeping as they fail? Anyone had an experience with them failing? 87 S4 NA

yup had to buy a motor bc of them, get braided stainless lines

One of mine burst open, shot oil all over the fan/engine bay.

Well lines have been replaced! Took me about 3 hrs and that included an oil change. Left the hard lines in place and cut the factory crimped clamps with a Dremmel. Replaced the braided portions with 10 AN stainless line ( mail order speed shop 3 ft section) used screw clamps under 30 bucks and no leaks. Did have to pull the cooler to replace top line though.

for about $60 I had a shop basically do the same thing, but crimp hydraulic hose onto the metal fittings/ends. They've been working fine for me for about 3 months now
