I had good luck with teflon oil additive in an old (200K) Mitsubishi V-6 and was wondering if any one had tried teflon or slick 50 additives in their rotary?

i always wondered about that too? my dad swears by slick 50 but i dont wanna put it in my GXL.

just curious too, when RX-7s first came out all the way from the 1st gen, 2nd gen, and the 3rd gen, were there any rotary only additives made? as well as other rotary powered vehicles before the RX-7?

Anything that doesn't burn isn't good in rotary oil. That's why synthetics aren't recomended.

Yes, there were other Rotary Powered vehicles. A decent amount. Right now if you go to www.mazdausa.com and go to the Rx-8 section there's a place with the history of the rotary engine. Now as far as the additives go, i'm stumped.

What do you mean synthetics arent reccomended??????

mazda has never recommended syntetic nor any other additive. you do run the risk of damaging the rotor oil seal o rings

the BEST case scenario for any of these additives, is they will do absolutely nothing to your engine. Dont waste your time with that crap. If want to throw away money, please send a check to:
