I need some info on installing these on my 88T2 motor.Anyone running them or know where these probes go for my Oil pressure,Oil temp,Water temp and boost guages?I have no idea where I mount the probes for both oil guages or the water temp guage.I know that boost guage ties in the same line as my MBC does.Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Luis

WTF?I know theres people running 52mm boost and other aftermarket guages.Does anyone know where to run these and how to install the oil temp guage?

I think this is the bet way to mount both an oil temp and oil pressure gauge:

It replaces the stock oil filter pedestal. I've got one, I'm just waiting on my gauges now.

That pedestal is good for oil temp and thats it.It says that the nylon line on my oil pressure guage is supposed to T off the same line I use for my MBC and boost guage as well. What do I do with the probe for the water temp gauge?Do I just hook up the probe to the pedestal too?

thanks

The Fc3s oil pedestal is tapped for both an oil pressure and oil temp gauge. I have one on my n/a and it works just fine. I only use it for oil pressure though, and have the other hole plugged. You can also purchase an adapter through Mazdatrix or Racing Beat for 48.00. I believe it also is set up for both oil pressure and temp gauges. I think I am going to use one of these on my TII since it is like 20.00 bucks cheaper than the fc3s one. However you can get the fc3s ones in anodized colors which would be kinda cool https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

As for the water temp probe I would think you have to tap it into the water system somewhere. I have no experience with this, so I'm just guessing at or around the water thermo sensor, maybe somewhere on the water pump housing neck. http://www.racingbeat.com/resultset....rtNumber=11802

It's odd tho because my oil pressure is a nylon line and theres no probe on the end.I guess I need to adapt it to work with the pedestal???

The Mazdatrix/RB pedestals also use a total of four o-rings as opposed to the stock setup of two o-rings the FC3S one uses. That's just two more things to fail and make a mess.

I've rigged up a clever system for the water temp with some advice HAILERS gave to someone else on the other forum. I'm using a brass cross fitting teed into the hose out of the rear housing, before it reaches the TB. It's a 3/8 NPT cross, which accepts my 3/8 threaded temp switch for the e-fan. Then I use 1/8-3/8 bushings on the other three sides, attach 1/8 brass nipples to clamp on the coolant hose, and then thread in the 1/8 NPT temp sensor for the gauge.

Looks something like this:

Edit - I'll post a diagram later if you need it.

Couldn't I just run it off the sensor on the waterpump. That one green connector there? Is the threads on that sensor 1/8?
