Its been a question thats been idling in my mind for a while...is NOS anygood in a rotary? I know NOS shortens your engine life but how does it mix with a rotary? BTW, I was told 3mm apex seals are recommended in this conf.



And also...any good air filters out there...I've been looking at K&N and HKS (around $150-170)

NOS is fine w/ rotaries as long as the motor is in good condition. Personally I feel that a 50 shot, or even a 75 shot is healthier on the motor compared to running 10psi all the time like some turbo guys do. You don't need 3mm seals for this unless your gonna go big 150+.

As for the filter, just buy a regular filter and get the adapter plate off ebay for like $25...plus about $30 for a filter...its a lot better then spending $100+ on K&N or HKS...

yes, go to any shop and get a universal K&N filter and get one of the adapter plates....i should have done that..i got the same **** off the expensive ass Bonez...

So I guess the one on Ebay right now at 29.99 with no bidder (I might finally win an auction!!!) is a good choice. Does it matter if its Universal compared to K&N ? Can I still put a K&N into it?

We have all heard the horror stories of people dropping a cylinder (laugh)... with NOS because one cylinder went lean. This was a common problem with NOS kits in the past. Sandwitch plates between the carb and manifold are way old school.... and bad news. The best way to do it is with modern fogger nozzles. Better yet if you can provide each cylinder, or rotor it's own nozzle (IE: just like injectors)... the safer it will be to run Nitrous. Also limit the amount of power to put to the motor. Nitrous isn't like anything else, it is INSTANT power. A 50 HP shot, doesn't sound like much but it's instant.



With my Supra I had NOS on it and it created so much INSTANT power it would slip my clutch. I had to turn the boost down 3-4 psi to use the NOS. My clutch wasn't worn out either, but yes it was the stocker.



Nitrous is the cheapest bang for the buck... but it isn't free. It's a 2-3 minute ride per bottle ($40 to fill).



I've got NOS on my Rotary, but I haven't run it yet.
