I'm thinking this thing, or just a 75 shot NOS kit might be fun for the GTu. Wonder how well this thing would work with the AFM?

I was looking at that too for my other car.. I'd feel better with a wet system though

Nemesis 07-15-2003 10:44 AM

I would prefer a wet system also, but they are more expensive. I just want to stick this on the N/A for a little extra fun. I don't want to make this a complicated implementation.

Any thoughts on that air filter injector thingy? Or should I just tap a jet into the intake?

Greg

The penguins crack me up, when are you going to come down to Austin for some hill country runs?

Do all of us a favor and never change that avatar. That is hilarious! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683785.gif

I'm not expert on the nitrous, but does it matter how far it has to travel before the TB? I mean, will all the ridges in the air intake tube affect the nitrous at all?

gazellis 07-15-2003 01:48 PM

I like the setup that is listed on fc3s.org. It is an uncomplicated setup. It is a wet system and the injectors are placed at the bend in the inlet duct right before the TB.

Probably is more expensive than the one shown going into the air filter.

I just looked at it. Pretty nice setup. I think I'm going to buy a used system off of eBay and implement it in a similar setup. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif

Damn, that's the first time I've seen it injected in the air filter like that.. cool.

FCmaniac 07-15-2003 05:43 PM

Its a cool idea, can't believe nobody came up with that before. My concern is the long runners and hard turns they make on the NA intake tract.. the air has a long way to go before it gets into the housings. I've seen plenty of people selling basic EFI wet and dry kits on ebay though like Nemesis said... you can pick up a 75 shot for around $350 used.. can't beat that.

I might have to test my DD with a new clutch and some juice. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

I gotta stop watching that movie. Summer boredom and no car = watching TFATF at least once a week.

Damn...i'm a loser.
