so i been trying to find a full TII rear. but for around 4-500. not worth it with 100k or more on it.
so i been looking at some aftermarket LSD's for the NA housings. OBX is like 320 and is goes up from there. they have really come up in quality since they have started. so im not worried about that. but are these "aftermarket" LSD's for the NA case equal to, or stronger than the stock TII's? whos running one here??? best part to me is that it would be NEW, not used... |
what about the miata LSD's. i know they swap into rx7 diff casings. anyone seen big power on stock rear miatas???
|
the miata and na fc's run a 7" ring gear, turbo rx7's run 8" thats why its stonger.
fastest ive seen on a miata rear is 10's but miata's are 500lbs lighter than the fc |
i know about the ring gear, but the metal itself is not harder?
search "rx7 lsd" on ebay and the OBX one is what im wondering about. for 320 i could have a brand new LSD thats possibly stronger than a TII...but i never seen anyone run one. |

good point...
i could just get the internals all cryoed pretty cheap. |
http://www.nitrofreeze.com/racing.html
great prices, $95 for ring and pinion. now i just need a NA rx7 lsd or a 94+ miata lsd... |
or just forget all of the trouble and put a ford 8.8 solid axle in it.
|
not worth the $$$ to me. its a daily driver.
|
How much money have you spent fixing yours. Ive spent enough, I would front the cash to know that I can do whatever I wanted and know that I will never break the rear end again.
