I just completed swapping my JSPEC T2 engine into my 1991 NA using the NA harness.
- The car turns over just fine, but I don't get any spark when I put a screwdriver in the plug wire end and held it close to a known ground. - I have power to the coils. - I've checked things out with a scope and found that the ECU isn't sending a signal to the coils (duh). - I have checked all my connections and the continuity to the ECU is good. - The main relay works (i hear it click). - I have tried 2 ECU's, and I don't believe that they have shorted out. So, what all could be holding the ECU from allowing it to spark? Are there any goofy sensors that I might have missed? I still need to connect a few wires on my transmission, I also have a couple unknowns in the engine bay but they have no connection the the ECU. |
I was also wondering if removing the acv was a good idea or not. I noticed that there is a number of vacuum lines coming off it.

sounds to me like your CAS is shot.

The scope picked up waveforms emitting from it, but they looked a bit sketchy. The CAS is definitely high on my suspect list though.

check the resistance of the cas. i have now had 2 go south on me. one was just out of speck and gave me a irratic spark the other was way out and no spark
