Im thinking about running some nitrous but im not sure.Anyone here running nitrous on their n/a or turbo fc?What make and how much hp is the shot? What kind of mods did you do to run the kit safely? Is it a dry or wet kit?How much nitrous can these rotary engines handle?

I had an 83 that I ran a 150 shot on. Mods were: ported 13B 4 port from an RX4 with S5 N/A rotors, factory apex seals from Racing Beat. It had the Racing Beat Holley intake manifold with a 650 double pumper, Racing Beat header with silencer and Magnaflow muffler. Also had 2 Msd 6A ignition boxes. I switched the plugs to platinum NGKs and went a step colder in both postitions. I never had the car professionally dynoed but here (6000 feet) my best times were in the very low 12's, so I would guess the car was making about 300hp. I used it for a daily driver too until the motor popped, and it did that only because of a bad mistake. At the strip I went to shift from 3rd to 4th and the tranny dropped into 2nd instead and the motor went bye bye https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png Fun car though.

I tune a LOT of nitrous systems for rotaries.
I exclusively use NX and NOS brand, anywhere from 30hp-400hp shots. Mods required depend on the desired power, and what other mods exist on the car. I exclusively use wet kits on RX-7's. I have thrown 300 hp of nitrous into a stock 13B engine.... There is next to nothing required for internal upgrades to the ENGINE. How about you tell me what you have for a car, what kind of power you're looking for (RWHP under nitrous), your budget, and what existing mods you have? |
