I am intersted in getting a FC. What year was the Fc when it had the rear lights with the 3 rounded lights? Are rotary engines hard to take care of? I always hear these things about apex seals blowing? And is it 2 or 3 rotars in an a FC? I have a friend with an SHO that makes fun of em'... So, I love this car alot and I am hopefully going to get one ASAP. Could somebody be a friend and answer these qustions for me? Thanks a bunch...

89-91 have round tailights. Rotaries are very reliable. you treat them well and they will last you a long time just like any other engine. all rx7's sold in the US are 2 rotor engines

I'm up at about 170K on my engine, and it's running perfectly, just change the oil, do regular tune-ups, and don't pull out in front of speeding buses, and everything should be fine. And god, are they fun... Anyways, good luck with the buy.

i bought my 88GXL RX-7 with 64,000 miles on it, now has 91,000 miles on it, no probs, religiously change your oil every 2500 miles and everything will last
