Rotaryman88 07-16-2003 06:34 PM

Lol...finally got it away from the rad hose huh?

Apex13B 07-16-2003 06:57 PM

now all you need is a nice NACA duct cut into the hood and you have type R cold air

pengaru 07-16-2003 08:38 PM

looks better, now lets see a datalog with the new TID... curious if those intake temps are any different now https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/tongue.png

you really should partition that off though.

1Revvin7 07-17-2003 12:38 AM

Here is a snipped it of the new datalog.

For some damn reason at 0% throttle I get a FAULT on the engine data page for the tps... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

Boost comes on Late as hell! 4k https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png This isn't a T78!!!

Hmm I am going to look at my timing maps again, seems there is one wierd spot...

Racer X 07-17-2003 07:30 AM

Isn't that one from that guy on here?He has them for sale on ebay

That is because there is no preload on the TPS at 0%. You want a little bit of preload on the TPS when you mount it so it never twists all the way to the end. So put it on with it already a little twisted and then calibrate the throttle.

p.s. You fixed the voltage:)

j9fd3s 07-17-2003 11:11 AM

the intake temps are better too

1Revvin7 - I am telling you, not asking, to take more pics of that engine bay! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

That bay is too nice and neat to be real. I love how everything is clean looking. I guess I should work harder on mine. :(

BigTurbo74 07-17-2003 01:24 PM

yes i believe it could be THE best engine bay out of anyone...so many pretty colors, hehe

voltage is not fixed, its an odd thing. Going to swap out that main underdrive pulley...

Intake temps are a little better, but after lots of driving and boostin' I get 130deg F.... Ic is not getting any air...

Thxs Jerk Racer... 1 I took yesterday before the new TID...

Throw some PC fans on the IC until you get the hood back on. Or hook up the windshield washers to spray on it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

windshield washers are long gone, the entire assembly.. I just don't drive it :( drive for 5 minutes a day to datalog keeping an eye on intake temps..

rx7machine 07-17-2003 02:43 PM

Whoa.. no front end.. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...

UniqueTII 07-17-2003 02:44 PM

My washers went to heaven so I could build an air box where the tank was, but I still haven't gotten around to it. Maybe on my next car.

Just put some ice cubes on the IC while you test drive it. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

From what I can tell the data log looks ok becides the intake air temp rising kinda fast but you know what you have to do to fix that. With my front mount my air temp doesn't rise any more than 4 deg from a pull from 1st to the top of 3rd. I'd look at a boost leak or a hung open waste gate.
