well you guys so far have helped me out in decideing that im goin to work on my rx-7's looks insted of its power.....girls go for good looking cars anyway.....my question is i see all these rx-7's online and they have these body kits on them....the ground effects on the side;are they clip ons or additions..i ask this because its realy low to the ground already...and 2nd...would i be ok if i got just a new bumper..i was thinking the feed front lip; would i ned to change out the side effects to even out the look of my car?or would i be ok with the stock ground effects

If yours was a series 5(89-91)Then I would agree and just stick to the stock sides and rear, just add a aftermarket front. But yours is a series 4 so if you want to just add a lip but if you are looking in to a kit then get the hole thing. My fav for the FC has to be the GP motorsports million kit.Even tho I don't mind FX designs combat kit minus the stupid ass wing on it.They should have had a T2 wing on it.

FX designs kit.......

I think it all depends on your style and the theme behind the car. and cash flow. take a look at the BMW M5, it has a stock front bumper that is lower to the ground then the rest of the car. It looks like a aftermarket front bumper.

This is what I want my setup tp be another thread

Geoffman72 12-22-2002 02:19 PM

My advice - Dont change your car in any way for the girls.

Second, if you want a nice looking car on a still in high school budget, grab a set of 89-91 TII/GTUs mesh style rims for about 250-300 and get that Feed replica lip from www.teamfc3s.org/forum in the for sale section.

The rims are only 17lbs and should be a nice handling upgrade even if you already have an 87-88 TII.

StillInHighSchool 12-22-2002 02:54 PM

well i have a 90 vert....ill upload a pic later...but right now i am realy interested in the lip from feed..i just5 dotn know 1 if it would offset the body or 2 if it would make it look bad.....

Geoffman72 12-22-2002 03:06 PM

With the stock 15" BBS rims it would probably look slightly odd. With the rims I mentioned on there, would look pretty nice I think :bigthumg:

StillInHighSchool 12-22-2002 03:12 PM

well yes one of the things ill be doing is upgradeing to some 17's and yes im looking at the ones you sugested..but mines convertable and an addition ill be makeing is a double looped crome roll bar to go behind the seats so in order to match ill need some crome wheels......*thinks*....

StillInHighSchool 12-22-2002 03:17 PM

that feed lip replica......how much and where?...i tryed looking....but theres alot of stuff here and i dont realy feel like searching through it all

Geoffman72 12-22-2002 03:31 PM

BLECH, don't buy chrome wheels, get polished aluminum if anything. You get much less weight that way.

Hmm...I guess the guy on the TeamFC3S forum isn't making the FEED replica spoilers anymore unless he gets a huge demand for them.

There is another guy on there that makes a nice front lip. Check it out here TeamFC3S Forum - MikeLs fiberglass for sale

1Revvin, is that the Corksport front bumper in the front pic of the red 7?

That is nice and subtle... I was looking for a front air dam/bumper only that would not stand out too much meaning I don't want people saying "where's the rest of the body kit?"

1Revvin7 12-24-2002 12:15 PM

https://www.nopistons.com/forums/upl...1040518917.jpg

yes i love it!!! keeps the stock lines but adds so much sexiness! especially for an s4...

StillInHighSchool 12-24-2002 07:58 PM

do you have the full kit..i mean if i get just the bumper would it through the entire look off or no...

TurboSmoke 12-26-2002 09:43 PM

in my own opinion i think the best kit is the GP sports kit it is nice but a lil pricey

TurboSmoke 12-26-2002 09:47 PM

Travisty 12-27-2002 02:43 PM

http://www.issanniracing.com/catalog...cPath=22_33_34

i am gonna get one for myself eventually

Turbo2Luvver 12-27-2002 10:34 PM

I have an 87 Turbo II and I LOVE the body styling, just the way it is. The lines are clearly taken from the Porsche 944, and although Mazda emulated the 944 with its body style, it is obviously not an imitation. Besides, what better car to emulate than a Porsche?

Leetheslacker 12-27-2002 11:37 PM

IMO girls will like going fast in your car better then the looks, unless they're big rice loving chicks.

Leetheslacker 12-28-2002 11:57 PM

Then good. If you can go fast and look good doing it thats cool

TurboSmoke 12-29-2002 12:33 AM

but i am not doing it ricey style. i am doing it tastefully

mazda_rx1986 12-29-2002 11:26 AM

in my opinion i just like the gp sport front end but im going to go with the bomex side skertz and and rear bumper
