New to rotary and need help.
 

Hello All,

I have no clue about how to work on a rotary... Not that I am any better on at a regular engine...(beginner at best). I have a Datsun 510 with a 13b engine in it. I has a Holley carb on it. I was told by the last owner that the engine is ported.

The car needs a bit of work, the previous 5 owners, all friends, raced it. They patched the car together with what ever they had. (low budget).


The car was running and pulled hard... One day, I was out for a short run round the block when the fan wire ground got loose and caused the car to overheat. Luckily, I was near my home and put a water hose to the radiator for a few minutes before it shut off.

I changed the oil and found no water in it. Now, I can't even get it to start. I check the spark plug wires and I do get a spark. (I think its a weak spark)
After a few minutes of trying to get it to start without success, I found gas purring out from the exhaust pipe.

I have no idea why the gas is not igniting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
